J-1204 Paper filament tape is made of an electrial-grade paper backing and reinforced by fiberglass, and an oil resistant acrylic adhesive. It has very high tensile strength and stable acrylic adhesive for oil. Widely used for the constructions of oil filled transformers. Paper backing construction provides for complete impregnation and saturation of the tape in adjacent layers of insulation. This feature minimizes the possibility of voids leading to corona discharges, with subsequent deterioration of insulation materials.
